Chapters 3 and 4 give general advice on materials, tools and painting. While Chapter 6 discusses the method of constructing wheels. The Showman's caravan is a simplified design to suit the beginner or someone who does not want to spend too long on a model.
The Open Lot Bow Top caravan plans show every detail of the prototype, but it is not too complicated, and the full instructions and cutting patterns make it a suitable model for the average craftsman. The Ledge wagon is an ambitious project, with a lot of detail, and you have to work directly from scale plans, as no cutting instructions are given. This model would appeal to the experienced modelmaker, who does not mind spending several months on the job.
